Frequently asked questions
What is BAGL?
BAGL stands for "Bring a Grocery List." It helps you keep grocery lists organized by store, reuse items you buy often, track prices, and see list totals while you shop.
Do I need to create a store before making a list?
Yes. BAGL is organized around stores, so each list belongs to a store. This lets each store have its own items, categories, colors, and price history.
Where is my data stored? Is it private?
Everything you create stays on your device. BAGL has no accounts and collects nothing about you — see the Privacy Policy for the details.
How do I move my lists to a new device?
In Settings → Backup, tap Export to save a backup file, then Import it on your other device. Everything comes across — stores, lists, items, prices, and templates.
How does price tracking work?
Give a store's item a price, and update it whenever it changes. BAGL keeps the full history, so you can see how a price has trended over time and know when something's a good deal.
Can I add items with Siri or find lists in Spotlight?
Yes — BAGL includes Shortcuts you can run with Siri (like adding an item to a list), and your lists are searchable in Spotlight straight from the Home Screen.
Is BAGL accessible?
Yes — BAGL is designed with VoiceOver and Dynamic Type support throughout the app.
